Jewelry from the stained glass from Matthias Church
Several new colors appear in my jewelry made from the stained glasses of Matthias Church. For example, the goldrose, a pale pink color was made by mixing real gold in the molten clear glass, giving it a pink tint. The fine-colored goldrose glass was used for the saints’ faces. The different shades of blue were used for the heavens and the sky, the yellows, greens, and browns needed to decorate the saints’ clothes. I carefully pick which colors to use in each of my creations so they create a harmoniously colored piece together.
