"To preserve the preservable"
It happened once that I had to save the broken beak of a Herend porcelain bird. Luckily I was able to save it. This is where my motto came from: ”To preserve the preservable”. This idea has always been in me. In my workshop I restore antique glass and antique porcelain items.
One day an elderly lady brought me a Zsolnay cup that was cracked. Unfortunately I could not save it, it broke into pieces. It felt as a personal tragedy. Then I thought I would create rings, earrings, and necklaces from some of its parts to let it live longer. In the past, these porcelain items were very valuable and sometimes were exchanged for land or horse carriages. I enjoy searching for very old porcelain pieces and damaged items in various antique stores. I immediately see the earrings, pendants, or other jewelry that I could make from them.
For example: Once upon a time Herendi bonbonniere’s cover, now is a medallion; the curved part of a cup serves as a bracelet, a broken coffee cup holder was made into a ring.
they say about my creations
Dear Karoly! The ring has arrived without any problems and it’s like out of a dream! The fine diamond pieces sparkle in the sun and the opal shines with its greenish-rainbow color. It really is like when the sun shines on the fresh snow. All this is surrounded by a beautiful deep-blue and purple colored glass that together give you an incredibly beautiful sight. As I move my hand a little, the “sparkling snow” appears. There is really only one word to describe it: out of a dream. I am very happy wearing it.
This ring is beautiful and I feel like a whole new world has opened up for me.
Thank you very much 🙂
I could keep going praising it but there’s a limit on the number of characters.
It’s miraculously beautiful and arrived in a short period of time. The entire piece shines from the colors of the rainbow. The ruby’s deep red color dominates, but as the sun shines on it, all the beautiful colors appear. When I first saw it, the northern lights came to my mind. Thank you very much for the perfume as well!
What can I say? I first bought a ring and now the matching earrings, so finally I have an entire set! 🙂
It’s the most beautiful jewelry, wonderful craftsmanship! Your creativity is unlimited! A must buy!
Vanessa cardui or ‘painted lady’ is a butterfly species. I’ve been looking for a long time for something that could truly represent its colors, and now I’ve found it! Thank you!
